YES! Contact us by phone or email, or talk to our front desk staff to change the date or time of your classes. We have hundreds of classes and will find something that will fit your new schedule 🙂

At AQUAfin, we are very passionate about the process of swim lessons and pay close attention to the progress of our swimmers. We would love to talk to you at any time about your swimmer’s progress. Just ask our front desk staff at your location. Here’s more information about our process:

  • Your child’s coach evaluates your child each lesson to monitor their progress
  • Every 8 weeks, we have a level evaluation and progress report
  • Swimmers move to the next level as soon as they master at least 90% of their current level skills
  • If your child has mastered the necessary skills to move up to the next level, the coach will give them a dolphin and our front desk staff will help you move to the next level
  • If you feel like your child’s lessons could be improved please let our front desk staff know.
  • If your child has not progressed on a skill after several months, we will do our best to create a special plan to help your child
  • Still have questions about your swim lessons and progress? We’d LOVE your input and feedback!

All children under 3 years old are REQUIRED to wear two diaper layers, even if they are potty trained. The first layer must be a disposable swim diaper and the second layer must be a non-disposable swim diaper. Diapers are available to purchase in our facilities. More on our diaper policy here.

We are honest and not in the business of selling you dreams… Every swimmer’s journey is specific to them.

Learning to swim is a process. How you react and adapt to this process is as individual as we all are. There are numerous factors involved, such as previous experience, learning style, age, physical ability, dedication to your goal, training at home, etc. Everyone has a different starting and ending point.

If you are looking for a way to boost the effectiveness of your/your swimmer’s lessons, you can consider adding on additional lessons (multiple days per week) or trying private lessons. Practice makes perfect. The frequency at which a swimmer practices DOES make a difference, and individual attention from the coach can identify corrections needed to improve a swimmer’s technique.

Whoever you are, and whatever your skills are, we have coaches suited for your needs and will do our best to help you reach your goals.

We do our best to provide consistency with our AQUAfin coaches. We understand that swimmers, especially our younger members, build relationships with their coaches. Sometimes, due to circumstances beyond our control, we need to provide a substitute coach or change a coach for a class entirely.

To help swimmers make the transition smoothly, our AQUAfin coaches undergo a standardized training procedure as well as monthly curriculum review meetings. This ensures that no matter what AQUAfin coach is in the water with your swimmer, the same curriculum is being taught, and their skills are being tracked in the same way they would have been with their previous coach.

We allow 1 makeup per month. Please let us know in advance that you will not be attending your class. The make up and absence forms can be found here

All of our packages have a minimum of 4 classes per month, or one class a week. During months where there are 5 weeks, we do not hold lessons to keep everyone on the same schedule. There are two reasons for this:

  1. Our monthly billing system works based on 4 lessons per month. This keeps your monthly bill consistent throughout the year – no surprises!
  2. If classes in any given month have to be cancelled, we then have the option of using the 5th week to schedule make ups.

We are very picky with who we hire. We believe swimming is a way of life and we look for passionate people to join our family. We have 40 hours of in-house training for new hires. Each facility has certified pool operators – we take high priority in our pools management

AQUAfin has its own proprietary progress-based curriculum: Every 8 weeks we evaluate swimmers to see if they are ready to level up. Swimmers must master 90% of the skills in their current level to progress to the next level.

We are open 7 days a week! Each location’s hours vary slightly between 8am and 8pm. See all of our locations and their hours of operation here.

We offer Birthday parties. The rate is $299 for 3 hours. At our birthday parties, your party gets private time (60 minutes) in our pool, followed by 2 hours for your birthday event.

YES! We teach adults as well! We are very proud to be one of the only swim schools to have unique and specialized classes for adults who want to learn how to swim. We have adult group lessons and private lessons available at all locations.

ALL OF OUR POOLS ARE HEATED! They are heated to 91 degrees year round. If it is cold or raining outside we will still have swim lessons 🙂

Yes! All of our facilities are indoors! We have state of the art lightning protection systems to allow our patrons to safely swim indoors.

YES! We work with all ages and levels, and we offer private lessons. Safety is our priority and they get more 1:1 attention.

Three years old. It is rare a swimmer can be ready to do lessons by themselves before they turn three, but they need to do an evaluation and get approved by the facility manager in order to go into our group lessons without a parent.

We start swim lessons as young as 2 months old!

YES! Many of our families are doing 2 classes per week. You get a 10% discount on your 2nd registration. Please see our Swim Tuition for discount information and our multi-month packages.

There is a $35 Annual Registration Fee. When you first sign up for the program, you will get an AQUAfin beach bag. This fee goes toward your account management and covers you for 12 months.

YES! We appreciate our community for recommending us! We have a friend referral program. A $20 credit to your account will be added once your friend registers and pays their first monthly fee.

** Make sure both you and your friend tell us about the referral**

4 lessons a month – one 30-minute lesson per week

Yes, until they change levels. When they do, we will work with you and your schedule for the new time adjustment.

Example: Let’s say we assign your swimmer to a level 2 class on Monday at 5:00PM. This means you will always have your class on Mondays at 5:00PM until your swimmer graduates to the next level or you need a schedule change.

We base this standard on years of experience and industry standards. The perfect timeline to get kids to stay engaged in the lesson is 30 minutes! This keeps swimming interesting for our members. Every lesson, they will make progress and develop their skills. Swimming is an intense activity. It’s not uncommon for kids or adults to get tired after 30 minutes.

Private lessons – 1:1 ratio

Parent and infant/tot/transition – 1:8 ratio

Group levels 1-3 – 1:4 ratio / (1 instructor with 4 swimmers)

Group levels 4-8 – 1:4 / (1 instructor with 4 swimmers)

No, we don’t. AQUAfin offers swim lessons to all ages and levels, from beginner skills to stroke adjustments for high school and professional swimmers.

We recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class. This will allow you to see our facility, get comfortable, and make sure your swimmer is not rushed into their first lesson.

For parent and tot classes specifically, we ask that you do not feed your toddler within 45 minutes of the lesson. Your toddler might be uncomfortable during class if they just ate, and this can lead to accidents in the pool.

We have space in the lobby to store your personal items. However, we recommend you leave valuables in your car. We are not responsible for any missing or lost items.

Your first step is to create an account on our parent portal. One of our Membership Department managers will find the best class for you. Since our classes are ratio based, we need to evaluate each swimmer and place them in the best class for their age and skill level.
