Orange City, FL – AQUAfin Swim School, Northeast Florida’s premier swim school founded by two-time Olympian Nim Shapira, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest location in Orange City. The celebration will take place on July 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the state-of-the-art facility located at 820 Commed Boulevard, Orange City, FL 32763.

During the event, free swim trials will be offered to assess each swimmer’s skill level and place them in the appropriate class based on AQUAfin’s proven, progress-based curriculum.

This marks AQUAfin’s fourth location and its first franchised facility, expanding the brand’s presence across the Sunshine State. Like other AQUAfin schools, the Orange City location will offer swim lessons for children starting as young as two months old, along with lessons for all ages through adult. With a heated indoor pool and high-quality purification system, lessons are available year-round, seven days a week, regardless of weather. The school maintains a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio, with parent-and-tot classes offered at an 8:1 ratio.

The Orange City franchise is led by husband-and-wife team Rodion and Cassidy Davelaar. Rodion is a University of Florida graduate and former Olympian who competed in the 50-meter freestyle at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Cassidy is a pediatrician with a deep passion for children and water safety.

“The joy I found teaching our two children to swim showed me that I wanted to help other families do the same,” said Cassidy Davelaar. “With our Olympic and pediatric experience, we understand the importance of prevention, and enrolling children in swim lessons early is one of the best ways to prevent swim-related tragedies.”
