JACKSONVILLE, FL – With child drowning deaths in Florida reaching an all-time high in 2021, AQUAFIN Swim School, led by two-time Olympian Nim Shapira, is taking action. The school is offering free swim trials to local families during a special Back-to-School Open House, taking place July 30 and 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at three Northeast Florida locations.

This community event is designed to help families learn about water safety and swimming before the summer ends and school routines begin.

During the event, AQUAFIN’s certified instructors will assess each child’s swim skills and place them in the appropriate level using the school’s proven, progress-based curriculum. Families will then receive a personalized plan outlining their child’s swim journey and goals.

All AQUAFIN locations feature heated indoor pools and advanced purification systems, allowing swim lessons to run year-round, seven days a week, rain or shine. The program starts with parent-and-tot classes as early as 6 months old and continues through adult lessons. Most classes maintain a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio, with private one-on-one lessons also available.
